Yarra Ranges Council has welcomed a funding announcement from State Member for Monbulk, James Merlino MP, and Minister for Local Government, Marlene Kairouz MP, of $3 million for the Warburton Mountain Bike Destination project through the 2018-19 State Government Growing Suburbs Fund and Yarra Valley Trail rolls ahead after funding announcement of $2.5 million for the Yarra Valley Trail through the 2018-19 State Government Growing Suburbs Fund.
That is now secured funding of $11.5m for the Ride Yarra Ranges Project........... $9m for the Warburton Mountain Bike Destination project and $2.5m for the Yarra Valley Trail.
I wish to extend the Commuity and Council's sincere appreciation for the support and commitment from our local Warburton and Yarra Junction Community Bank Branches Bendigo Bank, I can't begin to say how valued that commitment has been during our advocacy efforts. Through that commitment of $300k the Upper Yarra Community Enterprise Ltd has secured an $8.7m investment to the Upper Yarra. I could only wish that past UYCE Ltd Chair Peter Kimberley could be here to see this outcome..........
