Powelltown FNC 100 Years.

It was indeed my pleasure to launch the Powelltown Football Netball Club 100 years.
A magnificent effort from Judy Podolinsky and the book team, a wonderful read with so many memories. I thoroughly recommend it.
A couple of snippets..... 1971 Ken Child coaches Powelltown in the Grand Final against Monbulk at Healesville, Nicole Hajder 70 Netball goals in the one game, 2014 Peter McConachy (58) 550 games for Powelly.

Major Road Upgrades on the way after Smith wins Casey.

Federal election 2019: Tony Smith MP wins Casey. ....
“My plan includes providing $300 million to seal dirt roads in the Dandenongs and surrounding regions. $150 million of this will be provided directly to the Yarra Ranges Council to seal 250kms of dirt roads in our community,” Tony Smith MP said.

O'Shannassy Ward Councillor, Jim Child, said he was pleased to see the parties commit to the funding, giving certainty for residents on roads such as Cavanagh Road that their roads would be sealed.

"This is great news for so many of our residents," Cr Child said.

"Families at Millwarra Primary School know how needed these upgrades are, and I'm pleased that this is locked in and will become a reality."

Healesville Queens Park Play Space

With Minister Hon Jaclyn Symes, Fiona McAllister - Ryrie Ward & Mayor Cr Tony Stevenson ...... So many little people having so much fun at the opening of the new Healesville Queens Park Play Space. A great project outcome jointly funded by the State Government and the Yarra Ranges Council.

Families and visitors in Healesville can now enjoy a new, upgraded playspace in Queens Park. The playspace features new playground equipment, landscaping works of the surrounding area to create formal and informal seating and paths to connect the playspace to the surrounding park.

Enough is enough. ....

Enough is enough, our local Millgrove contractors, Robin Logging have not worked on their VicForests timber harvest coupe now for 10 days because of illegal protesters occupying the site preventing legal timber harvest operations. The longer this illegal protesting activity continues the more our community and economy suffers.
Please Victoria Police, DELWP Gippsland Department of Environment, Land, Water and Planning, & Dan Andrews take action to clear/stop this illegal invasion of work sites once and for all.
