Inspirational, Paige Black - REBUILD.
REBUILD "We're all in this together"
'I wrote this song about Hope getting through the devastating loss and challenge of Covid 19 but also the silver linings that have evolved and the chance we have to change our habits and try to shape a world that matters!' - Paige Black.
Paige Black, for those that don't know is the daughter of Rod Barnard, principle of the Millwarra Primary School (Millgrove & East Warburton campases), and rightly so a very proud dad.

Metropolitan Local Government Areas will return to Stage 3 restrictions.
The Premier has announced that from midnight tomorrow metropolitan local government areas including Cardinia & Mitchell will return to Stage 3 restrictions.
That means there will only be 4 reasons to leave your home;
- Shopping for food and essential items;
- Medical and care-giving;
- Work or study if it cannot be done in your home;
- Exercise where it can be done within the restricted area.
Full details will be available from DHHS shortly about the restrictions.
People within the restricted metropolitan districts are not able to travel to regional Victoria.
At present our CEO Ms Tammi Rose is seeking clarification as to whether Yarra Ranges will be going to Stage 3 restrictions as well as we are classed as a metropolitan municipality.

Yarra Ranges Council Budget, Council Plan and Long-Term Financial Plan
At the last Yarra Ranges Council meeting (23rd June 2020) I was pleased to move and speak to the motion to release the draft 2020-21 Council Budget, Council Plan and Long-Term Financial Plan (2020-21 to 2029-30) for community consultation.
The draft budget has been developed around supporting the community recover from the COVID-19 pandemic with a number of significant measures introduced to assist all community members, including assisting property owners with rates.
While we’re increasing rates at two per cent this year, in line with the State Government rate cap, we will be giving ratepayers a COVID-19 Rates Relief Assistance Credit for any increase in their general rates from last year. To put it simply, this means that you won't pay any more in general rates than you did last year, and some households will pay less.
In addition to focusing on providing relief to the community due to COVID-19, this budget will also continue to deliver on the over 120 services and initiatives that are contained in the 2017-2021 Council Plan.
Some highlights of the 20/21 Capital Works Program:
. Renewing sports lighting at the Yarra Junction Recreation Reserve oval and install new court surfaces, lighting, fencing and drainage at the Yarra Junction tennis courts in the reserve.
. Design and construction for a number of roads in the O'Shannassy Ward, through the Federal Government-funded Roads for the Community initiative. More information at: https://www.yarraranges.vic.gov.au/…/Roads-for-the-Communit…
. Footpaths - Park Rd to Warburton Primary School. Yarra St, Yarra Junction. Yarra Bridge (bus stop) to Warburton Holiday Park and Warburton Water World.
. Play-spaces East Warburton and the Upper Yarra Dam.
. Master Plans, Wesburn Park and Warburton Recreation Reserve.
. Warburton Mountain Bike Destination. Council is committed to the Environmental Effects Statement (EES) process and will concurrently finalise the draft Warburton Mountain Bike Destination Master Plan for community input and determine priorities in delivering associated infrastructure.
. Warburton Water World (Warburton Community Recreation Precinct), Stage 2 and opening depending on COVID-19 restrictions.
