The project has been held up in the Department of Environment, Land, Water and Planning (DELWP) Environmental Effects Statement (EES) Referral process. If a full EES Referral needs to be done, this will cost millions and take years to complete! No project like this has ever had to go through an EES before, so why should this one?! The Grampians Peaks Trail was able to proceed with 144km of trail and hiker camps in a National Park and did not even do an EES referral!
Please email the Andrews Government Crisis Council Of Cabinet supporting the Warburton Mountain Bike Destination Project, requesting that this bureaucratic regulatory obstruction be removed so this project can proceed now to deliver jobs and a much needed recovery to the Warburton Valley.
“As a Government, it is our job to respond to this health emergency now to keep Victorians safe, and then ensure our state is best placed to recover and rebuild when we get to the other side of this crisis.” – The Hon Daniel Andrews MP Premier.
It is very important that members of the Crisis Council Of Cabinet are lobbied.
