Road construction works along Cavanagh Road (Westley Road to Moore Crescent) & Moore Crescent (South of Cavanagh Road), Millgrove to commence on Monday 25th May.
Over many years I have strongly advocated for these two roads to be sealed and I'm so pleased it is now going to happen. A big thank you to the local Millgrove community for your continued support for this wonderful outcome.
As announced by the Hon Tony Smith MP Federal Member for Casey and myself last year these works are to construct the unsealed length of Cavanagh Road (Westley Road to Moore Crescent) & Moore Crescent (South of Cavanagh Road) (adjacent to Millwarra Primary School & Millgrove Preschool).This project is included in the list of roads to be constructed around schools/pre-schools as part of the Yarra Ranges Council Federal Government’s Roads for the Community Initiative.
The works will include constructing concrete rollover kerb and channel, underground stormwater drainage and asphalt sealing of the pavement and car parking area (in front of the primary school).
Works on the road are scheduled to commence on Monday, 25 May 2020 (weather permitting). The works should take approximately twelve (12) weeks to complete, subject to favourable conditions.
